Candle Care Tips

We love coconut soy wax because it is a vegetable by-product made from the oil of coconut and soy beans. Unlike paraffin, which is petroleum-based, coconut and soy are natural, renewable resources. This wax is 100% biodegradable and produces minimal to no soot while burning.

This blend is sought after for its ability to hold and release fragrance more effectively than other waxes, making the scent noticeable even when the candle isn't lit. Not to mention, coconut-soy wax burns 30%–50% slower than paraffin, resulting in a candle that burns significantly longer.

We source our fragrance oils from American companies that routinely test against the highest fragrance oil safety standards. These fragrances are manufactured without organ toxins, acute toxins, CMRs, phthalates, and ingredients on the California Prop 65 list.

Our 9oz. candles burn between 40 – 50 hours.

For the best burn, we recommend allowing your candle to melt fully across the surface during the first use—this may take about 3 hours. A full melt pool helps with fragrance throw and prevents tunneling, where wax builds up around the edges. Keep your candle away from drafts, fans, or open windows to ensure a steady flame and even burn.

Our candles are designed to self-extinguish, leaving approximately ½ of wax at the bottom of the jar. Once your candle is finished, you can re-purpose the jar.

Wax Tip

The wax left at the bottom of the jar can be scooped out and placed in a wax melter for extra hours of enjoyment!

• Prevent tunneling. Be sure to allow the wax to fully melt across the top of the candles before blowing them out (especially during the first time it's burned).
• Trim your wick. Each time you go to light your candle, trim the wick to 1/4". This helps the wick burn longer and lessens any potential sooting. If you do happen to cut your wick too short and it will not light, dig out some of the wax from around the wick.
• 4-Hour Burn. To get the most life out of your candle, do not burn them for more than 4 hours at a time. Stop burning your candle once only 1/2" of wax remains. 
• Thoughtful Storage. When not burning your candle, store in a dry, cool area out of direct sunlight. Sunlight can alter the coloring of your candles and heat can cause unwanted melting.
• Remove Dust. Use a soft cloth to wipe out any dust or debris that may gather on top of your candle prior to burning.
